Acquisition of ENVIRONMENTAL ISO 14001 Certification
 
 KISCO has acquired the certification of Environmental Management System "ISO 14001" as of December 25, 2003.
 
 The company has carried out the corporate-wide program to acquire the certification since March 31, 2003 when the President of KISCO LTD., Mr. Yoshinori Kishimoto, declared kick-off of the challenge. This certification granted by LRQA, the ISO examination and registration agency, covers 13 sites of the company consisting of both Headquarters at Osaka and Tokyo, each sales branch at Kobe, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Sendai and Sapporo as well as Osaka Technical Station, Tokyo Creative Station, Noda Technical Station and Kyomachibori Warehouse in Osaka City and Ichihara Warehouse in Chiba Prefecture.
 
 KISCO will, as a specialized enterprise of advanced materials, keep committing to environment protection activities through such development as Direct Molding System, an energy and resources saving production system beneficial to environment protection, promoted by Composite Material Division as well as "Ecopeeler", a Semiconductor Process Chemical which uses only environmentally gentle agents or chemicals, and other devices or chemicals. The company will also promote planning, development and sales of products well matched with global environment.

 KISCO considers it one of our vital missions to tackle environment issue with all of its knowledge and capacity for the sake of environmental conservation of our planet, the most precious resources for our survival.

 This company will conduct its business in an environmentally sound manner all over the world on the principle of resources saving, reduction of waste materials and reduction of materials threatening to be heavy burden to environment, thereby promoting contribution to the society and customers' satisfaction. Environmental Activities Guideline:
1) Arrangement of Environmental Management System and continuous improvement
   We shall accurately grasp the impact of our business activities upon environment, and define environmental objectives and goals at the corporate level and each division level, and also construct and manage Environmental Management System which shall be subject to review whenever necessary for the sake of continuous improvement.
2) Observance of environmental laws and regulations
   We shall observe environmental laws and regulations, customer's requests, other requisites and the matters for environmental protection independently designated by this company.
3) Prevention of environmental pollution
   We shall, among the various impacts on environment caused by business activities of the company, tackle with particular emphasis on the following items and strive for the prevention of environmental pollution;
* We would deal with business which makes good effects upon protection of
 environment, and contribute to the conservation of global environment.
* We would strive for economy of energy and resources used for business
 activities, and for reduction of the amounts used, and also would engage in
 collection management always bearing in mind the importance of recycling.

Environmental education,and ensuring company-wide understanding and official announcement regarding Environmental Policy

 

  We shall implement environmental education and intra-company enlightening activities, etc.,and try to upgrade all employee's understanding of environmental policy and environment- consciousness as well as suggestion capability and shall carry out environmental protection activities.
 Also, this Environmental Policy will be openly announced in response to requests from outside of the company and in accordance with other necessities.
